A Fire So Big the Heavens Can See It is a 2008 album by Search the City. It is mainly a punk rock album, encompassing 10 tracks. The album is a banger throughout, with track after track being enjoyable to listen to. Especially the tracks “Son Of A Gun”, “To The Moon for All I Care”, “The Rescue”, and “Clocks And Time Pieces”. With incredible sound and vocals to match, the album, in its 34 minute runtime, manages to come close to being on par with albums like Palm Trees and Power Lines. I will be checking out this band and in the future, and I’ve added some of the tracks from this album to my playlist.
Another thing of note is that Search the City manages to keep up the same style throughout these 10 tracks, having that unique guitar sound that I really haven’t heard anywhere else. Most of the tracks are uplifting, having feel-good lyrics.
“The Streetlight Diaries” is another awesome track that this album contains. A wide range of guitar earworms can be found in it. Would recommend listening to this track, even if you don’t plan on listening to the entire album.
If you like punk rock, then this album is 100% worth listening to. You’re guaranteed to like nearly all the tracks in this album if you like any of the tracks that I highlighted in this review! Search the City did an awesome job with this album.
