Can’t Resist the Astrocock by Alien Fucker, The X-Files, Alien Cow Abduction, and Cum Book is a 2016 pornogrind album. The album is 29 minutes long, and throughout its 29 minute run time, the album has some uh...rather “interesting” vocal work. Sometimes you get metal-like vocals and other times you get inhuman grunts that might as well have come from a pig! In fact, I’m not entirely sure that some of these tracks actually have vocals because of the extremely strange vocals
Despite this, the instrumental work is actually quite phenomenal on most tracks, even if the vocals don’t compliment it at all. Think high energy, very speedy metal sound. The “alien clips'' and “other” clips sprinkled in-between the unintelligible vocals are a very nice mixup. Not sure where any of them are from, other than a sample from South Park.
By far the worst track has to be “Invasion of the Booty Snatchers”, in which the vocals really take a nosedive from terrible to downright “turn this off” worthy. Would 100% not listen to the track again.
The vocals, as I’ve said many times previously, really killed this album for me. The instrumental was actually AMAZING, and yet the vocals completely ruined it. I will however commend the work that the bands put into this album, as I really haven’t heard instrumental work like this on many other albums. Especially not the high-energy drum that’s present in a few of the tracks from this album.
Overall, this album wasn’t my cup of tea. From terrible vocals to even worse vocals at the end of the album, this album doesn’t deliver much other than great instrumental work. I would not recommend it unless you’re already really into the sub-genre. At first, I would’ve said that I liked this more than Endarkenment, but the album really dipped after a while. None of the tracks are playlist-worthy, nor repeat worthy. I apologize for anyone who likes this genre of music, as once again, it just...isn’t my thing.
Overall rating:
5/10
