Grosspapa is a 2017 folk album by Sycamore Smith. It contains 10 tracks, totaling 34 minutes of music. With this album, Sycamore Smith creates a unique approach to the folk genre, with lyrics that are sometimes almost anecdotal, and other times speaking to “you”.

One of my favorite tracks on this album has got to be “Congratulations, You Survived Your Suicide”. Its sarcastic nature with its folk guitar makes for a track like no other. Smith manages to make an album that I sincerely wish that more people would know about, due to its unique feel and lyrics.

Overall, check out this album if you like the folk genre, but want a twist.
