Jobie Reviews Music 54: Swing With Western (album) - Various Artists*. Requested by F63

Swing With Western is a 2010 western album by various artists*. The album has 15 songs, totaling 30 minutes of music. The album consists of tracks which range from being entirely instrumental to having vocals, each track being relatively short in length. The album has an excellent instrumentation which consists of instruments like the piano, the guitar, even the harmonica.

The tracks that do have vocals are good as well - tracks like “Back in Oklahoma” have lyrics one would expect from a song in its genre. This is a good thing, however. The previously mentioned song is a song that’s about typical life in Oklahoma, and its classically western feeling. Other tracks are also mostly about the typical life of someone during this time period, all of which make for great tracks.

This album is likely a nice listen for anyone; its laid back, chill sound makes for an album that everyone who listens to it will like in some way. You just can’t go wrong with the melodies that this album produces.

Some of my favorite tracks from this album include “Lone Star”, “Swingin’ Out West”, and “Back in Oklahoma”.

Overall, Swing With Western delivers a nice western sound that I believe most people will enjoy. Give this one a listen if you’re in for some nice western tunes.
